Azor (amlodipine and Olmesartan) is a combination of amlodipine and Olmesartan, where amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by calming the muscles of a human’s blood and heart vessels. On the other hand, Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that keeps the blood vessels from narrowing, hence, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Amlodipine Olmesartan should not be used if you become pregnant.

If you are diabetic, do not take this medicine along with any other medicine that contains aliskiren.

Seek immediate medical attention, if you witness swelling in the hands or feet, rapid weight gain, fluttering in your chest, pounding heartbeats, jaundice, chest pain or any other condition which is not normal than usual.

Over the counter Azor tablets is said to pass into the breast milk, so do not breast feed your nursing baby while on it. Consult your doctor for more.

Too much sweating can cause light-headedness. Keep yourself hydrated while amlodipine & Olmesartan tablets.

Before you start using amlodipine and olmesartan 5mg/20mg, check its side-effects.

• new or worsening chest pain;

• swelling in your hands or feet, rapid weight gain;

• severe or ongoing diarrhea with weight loss;

• pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest;

• a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out; or

• high potassium level - nausea, weakness, tingly feeling, chest pain, irregular heartbeats, loss of movement

Common Azor generic side effects include:

• swelling;

• dizziness;

• flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling); or

• pounding heartbeats

If you witness any other side-effects apart from these, consult your doctor about whether you should continue amlodipine and Olmesartan 5mg/20mg.

Take Olmesartan 20mg exactly as your doctor has prescribed you.

You can also opt for Azor 5mg-20mg tablet if your doctor has directed you.

You can take amlodipine 5mg with or without food.
