This combination medication is made up of two active ingredients known as Brimonide and Timolol.
Both drugs function to manage the increased pressure by reducing the discharge of aqueous humor by acting on a ciliary body in the eye to maintain the pressure.
The high pressure in the eye is usually caused by the following conditions: glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
This medication is prescribed when one ingredient is insufficient to tackle the increased pressure in the eye.
Brimonidine functions by both reducing the quantity of fluid that forms in the eye and improving fluid outflow from within the eye.
It is believed that timolol functions by reducing the quantity of fluid that forms in the eye.
